Its a real bug's life
A quirky look at some of the larger, more exciting members of the invertebrate
world. Let Dave guide you through the facts and fiction surrounding some of the most
misunderstood animals on earth, with anecdotal memories from Dave's early career breeding
and working with these exotic creatures. Dave will be supported by a cast of living
invertebrates - a chance to confront your fears head on!
Tribes, teeth and tarantulas
Dave has a special fondness for the Amazonian region of Ecuador and this talk
allows him to relate his experiences in this beautiful and biologically diverse
environment. It particularly focusses on some of the friendships he has developed
over the years, especially his time spent with the Waorani, a proud warrior society
fighting to retain their cultural identity in an ever changing world. Although
primarily a photographic presentation, this talk also features a variety of genuine
Waorani artefacts. |
